Role Overview:

Skyhigh Security is seeking talented software engineers to join the teams in Aylesbury to work on creative projects to build both backend services and user interfaces for our latest cyber-security applications. With strong technical skills, you will have an immediate impact building applications to push the boundaries of our data protection solutions to the next level.

About the role:

  • Working in an Agile software development team, you will be working on the development and testing of core security software
  • You will be creating and maintaining critical infrastructure required by the team or researching new technologies for future security solutions.
  • You will collaborate closely with your immediate colleagues, having daily meetings to discuss and share work tasks.
  • You will develop a broad range of skills required to fulfill the needs of the team including software design, development, testing as well as considering the legal and security aspects of the software development process.

About you: 

  • Good programming skills using Java as an object-oriented programming language
  • Experience developing front-end UI applications using a framework such as Angular
  • An ability to solve problems in an efficient manner
  • An interest and enthusiasm for working with new technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills
  • An ability to communicate ideas and describe your work using visual aids where appropriate
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or similar discipline, grade 2.1 or above
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Nice to have:
    • Software development on both Linux and Windows platforms
    • Experience in one or more of Perl, Python, JavaScript, HTML, XML, Shell script, Databases, Virtualization, Containers, Jenkins, GitHub, unit testing
